Parade of Christmas.

Just like my post not to long ago about the pumpkin patch, parades aren't a normal thing to find around here in central Florida. This one definitely was a lot different from the Parades I'm used to back home in Washington. It started off really slow with just a bunch of cops and you weren't sure if they were a part of the parade or just going by to get to the end of it..But once that was over it got pretty good most importantly Jaylen enjoyed it and had a good time, especially once his grandma got him a cool new toy! My favorite part by far was the fire, because it was actually really cold out and that little giant flame felt like a toasty fire in my living room.

Something New

I sometimes like to get creative with my hair when it allows and I have a good hair day so I saw this simple but chic style of pony that I wanted to try and not to bad right? Check out more styles I want to try here in my Hair, Health and Beauty board on my Pinterest.  This one wasn't hard at all, literally all you have to do is put your hair in a low pony then grab the pony and just separate the hair just above the holder a bit and wrap it through like tying a bow.. I think that's a good way to describe it. Try it out ladies and let me know how you like this simple yet different casual hair style!

Boo Boo's and Ferris Wheels

Jaylen and his helpfulness is so great but at times like today, can cause him to get hurt. He was trying to grab an ornament that fell off the tree, which fell behind it more towards the window and hit his sweet like face on the edge of the window sill. He bounces back from scraps and boo boo's so fast it's like they never happened.

Once he was all dried up from tears we headed out with the rest of the family to a fun little Christmas event they had at the college of UCF. It was a pretty nice event, they had indoor ice skating and of course all the rides and booths and even a cute little talent contest. I really love doing things like this because it's nice to get out and see the new kinds of events the community surrounding you has to offer

It's that time of year again..

I love love love decorating for Christmas and the fact that I get to do it in my own space how I want to makes it even more fun. I planned everything out once the Christmas stuff hit the stores and I fell in love with Target's decor they had this year. Most if not all of my decor is from Target besides the twin ribbon with the writing on it, that's from Joanne's 

Jaylen and I picked our own tree out and took it home that night and I pitched it all alone.. the beauty of being a single mom. Someone's gotta do it right? But the tree was only about 2 feet taller than me and I'm tall so it wasn't to bad and obviously I managed from the pictures above. I had a blast doing this and I hope you enjoy and take all the inspiration you need loves!

Wekiva Springs

Over the weekend Jaylen, my boyfriend and I decided to head up to Wekiva Springs. I always wanted to come to this place since before I moved to Florida since I researched so much and bookmarked any and everything I wanted to do. It was everything I imagined.. well almost the water is supposedly supposed to be warm all the time but it wasn't and I guess I can't complain to much because at least we can get in the open water this time of year. 

It was truly beautiful though and just warm enough outside the water to sit around in a bikini. Jaylen had a blast here he didn't want to get out of the water but I did because I'm a wimp for the cold. The springs here are really awesome and I plan on going to all of them here in the central area since they all have so much to offer like Blue Springs.. you can swim with the Manatees! 

We're settling in quite well

It's so great we have out own place now, It excites me every time I think about it and how I made it here not just on my own but with the support of my family. Jaylen loves his new room and his space and I do too! I don't have everything up just yet because with working and just being tired after work a lot of stuff gets put on the back burner until the weekends. 

As you can see this time of year is so great for the windows to be open and boy do I have them open constantly. The breeze is just amazing and because I don't have cable I love to sit and listen to music on my Pandora stations while the wind blows the trees. As you can see he loves it just as much!

Chuck Chuck!

Happy Halloween everyone. This year Jaylen is a dump truck of the cartoon character "Chuck" from the show Adventures of Chuck and Friends it's a Netflix thing. He loves all things cars, trucks, trains really anything transportation and considering I couldn't think of what to make him this year when I saw this I knew he would love it. We wen't to the same neighborhood as last year like I said we would and we got our picture back and then another taken, so I'm excited to see what he will be next year and do it again. I hope you all had a great one just as we did with lots of candy and spooks!
