Grammy's Indoor Playground.

I found this fun little playhouse place for Jaylen to go to a while back and over the weekend we finally went. Since it's been so hot out these days or just raining it was a great place to go so we could both get out of the house and he could play with some new stuff and other kids. It's super cheap for the kids to get into and they have play for kids ages 0-5 just member your socks! It's on the out skirts of Winter Park, one of my favorite places to go, they also have story time and allow you to bring food so if you want to spend the day there or have a birthday party everything you need is there.. even magazines for the mum's and dad's while the kiddos play.

Lake Louisa.

\

We're at it again, on another adventure to the wilderness! I love the outdoors as well as Jaylen and this past weekend I was looking for something to do since it was so nice and the forcast said no chance of rain. I started my search online like always then I just got on my phone and pulled up the map.. which I could of pulled up on the internet.. hm. So anyway I was looking for lakes I hadn't been to and ones with some sort of beach front like in my post about Dinky Dock. I found a state park called Lake Louisa and it was perfect for what I had in mind that day.

So this park was about 30 minutes or so from home and on the scenic route, my favorite when I'm on the road. This area was big you could camp there, take your boat out and fish or just take a swim. I wasn't sure what we would find when we got there so I didn't completely come prepared for a full body swim I thought it would be a place we could just get our toes wet in. Little to my surprise you could walk out as far as hundreds of feet and still be standing in the water and not be waist deep. Once I saw how far out people were going I knew this was my kind of lake!

This lake also as you can see in the pictures looks red and it is, if you scoop up some water in your hands you can still see the tint of color. They say it's from the the naturally occurring tannins in the water and it makes it hard to see the bottom unless the sun is shining directly over it. The water is beautiful and the surroundings as well, very relaxing place with a big size beach area and picnic tables. If you need a get away this is the place since not many people are there at a time and it's in the middle of no where, what better escape is there than that?

Second Round of Baseball.

Jaylen just finished up his second session of baseball for the year with the Little Sluggers. It was great seeing him do this and grow and get better over the last 2 months. They are done until the fall and I can't wait to see him at it again because he's getting good. It looks like we're going to be having some baseball practice of our own since I want to keep him interested and help him gain more skill in the sport.

Rained Out.

Summer time in Florida isn't all it's cracked up to be like the make out in the movies, the best time for Florida is any other time of year! It doesn't rain as much and it's warm yet cooler any other time of year besides summer. So on Monday I wanted to get out of the house and do something fun so I looked up some places and I came across the Disney Boardwalk. It looked like a fun place to go with street performers and games and shops to grab a bite.

On the way there it was clear but I did see a storm cloud in the distance thinking "Oh it's not in the direction I'm going" but to my non surprise it actually was and when we got to the Boardwalk the thunder was rumbling. It wasn't down pouring at all but soon it would so I thought since we are here lets make the most of it, so we went in and walked around for a bit. Others were out but dressed in their best poncho with umbrella in hand like I. We didn't stay long after we got some pizza and a treat because the rain started to come down. We will go back for sure when I can predict good weather!

Also a good spot to come when visiting or if you live locally because It's right next to Disney World.

Lake/Beach Day.

We love the water and Jaylen especially, it's like he has a connection with natural water as I like to call it. He likes pools but lakes and beaches are his thing. This place we found out about while on the Scenic Boat Tour I posted about not to long ago and this little lake/beach area is called Dinky Dock, a super cute name for it. There's a nice park like area just behind the sand with great shade where we didn't spend much time in because he wanted to get in the water and not get out.

I really liked this little lake/beach as I like to call it, since it's not to crowded like most beaches you can enjoy that feel without the long drive. We saw some pretty cool stuff like a group of paddle boarders, yoga on paddle boards and someone using a fly board. I'd only seen pictures of people using those but it was pretty cool to see it in person and watch them do tricks on it. If you live local or visiting I once again recommend little Dinky Dock as somewhere to go for the day or have a birthday park there the kids would love it.
