I call it..

The Bagel Cucumber Cheese Sandwich

1 bagel
1/4 of a cucumber
Shredded cheese (no specific amount, as little or much as you want)
Cream cheese also the amount to your liking

They are as simple as following the pictures but I have a list for those that want to copy and paste

1. Gather the ingredients
2. Toast bagel to your liking but not to hard because the cucumbers are also hard and you don't want that church on church to be to much
3. Cut at least 1/4 of the cucumber
4. Spread the cream cheese over each side of the bagel
5. Lay the cucumbers around the bottom bagel half
6. Sprinkle the cheese over the cucumbers
7. Lastly put the other half on top and chow down

What Jay Wore

It's been to long

Since I've posted, but I have good reasons. We went on  mini vacation down to visit my sister and her boyfriend in Miami. Jay had a lot of fun he doesn't love the sand to much but other wise he seemed to have fun. And as for the 5 hour car ride he did surprisingly well considering the situation. We made about 4 stops along the way to Miami and 1 back because he slept majority of the way home which was nice for me and him. So here are a few snap shots of our time in Miami!

Ever since Jaylen was in the womb I read to him, sang to him and just talked to him. I wasn't the strongest reader growing up but I over came it and I love reading now and I want my kids to love to read too. He has always been interested in books since he was a baby baby and I want him familiar with them because I know it will help him so much in the long run. If he see's books in my hands more than phones I know I've done something right as a parent.

What Jay Wore

Shirt & Pants

His first Crayons!

The 20st century has the most amazing little inventions these days. I had nothing even in comparison to these crayons and colored pencils. But when I saw them I just had to have them for Jay.

But I of course want the most for my money so I searched many other sites to compare prices and how many you get for the price. And I just ended up waiting a while and when I checked back on my fave online shopping site there they were on sale! Get your own here: crayons & twig pencils.

The crayons aren't on sale any more unfortunately, because when I got then they were $6 and now they are $12 for 30.

The colored pencils are still the same price on amazon originally $8 for 8 on anthropologie! Crazy right I got the 3.5in size for $1.99 for 12...a much better deal I think. If you want the next size up they are just a dollar more on amazon.

Lets Keep it Clean.

So because I don't have much of a dining room and Jay is a messy kid like any other. I got a splash mat to protect the carpet. It's really easy to use and clean, it looks like it's just a plastic flimsy mat but it's really durable, I pulled it just  to make sure. It's a really good cheap investment if your like me and don't have tile or hardwood that's easy to clean and can be used for those messy projects you can't do on just carpet or even in the kitchen which makes for an easy clean up so I highly recommend!

Music over T.V

I prefer any day to play music for Jaylen, since I don't have a radio. cd player I revert to pandora which is far better than the radio anyway. Just because you don't here constant repeats and you can choose what you listen to, but we all know when there's a repeat on pandora you were just waiting for that song to come on again anyway. So I'm proud to say Jay is not a t.v watching kid, he loves music of all types..at least all the types I play for him meaning everything but rap, metal or just anything not kid friendly.

Smoothie Time.

Strawberry mango smoothie that is.
1 mango
4 whole strawberries
1/2 cup of silk milk (I used original, but after tasting it I probably should of used vanilla)
1/2 cup of ice

Although the flavor came out slightly bland, I knew my mistakes. Instead of a full cup of ice that I used I will use a half next time like listed in the ingredients and a half a cup of silk milk instead of the full cup I used. And I would change the base for it to vanilla silk milk or a yogurt. But it wasn't bad at all Jay even liked it but it just reminded me of a very organic type of smoothie. So making this yourself is simple can you can tweak any way you want to make it your own.
